Customer Reviews

Super impressed with Steve , Monika and the AMAXS team. The quality of work along with cleanliness and efficiency has been superb . Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again in the future.

Absolutely fantastic ! We would recommend AMAXS 110% !

We bought an older property in need of total renovation. We also decided to re-model and extend at the same time so AMAXS virtually rebuilt the entire house.

There was only some half-working old warm-air heating so, as well as the more traditional building work, we also needed a complete re-plumb and installation of new boiler, rads, and underfloor heating downstairs. Plus a complete re-wire. And all of these skills are covered by the team – another great reason to use AMAXS as they can do EVERYTHING without needing to sub-contract out.

Monika, Steve, and ALL the guys were really friendly and helpful, providing excellent advice and guidance throughout the project.

And they were really tidy too – amazingly, despite the scale of the works, we managed to live on-site with electricity and HOT water for all except one night in the entire seven months when the downstairs floor was relaid and the concrete was drying !

Amaxs put some foundations in for a log cabin in our garden, and Steve and team all worked so hard to get the job done on time. The installers commented that it was a perfect base, the best they have seen. Will definitely be calling them again when we have more building to do.

Great and professional service! I highly recommend this company for any gas and plumbing services!

Great, fast, prompt service….always happy to recommend!

Monica, Steve & team have just remodelled our bathroom and built partition doors between our study/office and hallway. They have done a fantastic job on both counts, are competitively priced and work with great skill and pride in their work. Was particularly impressed by their attention to detail and cleanliness in operation (they protected all our carpets, hoovered up every day and removed the old bathroom and packaging of the new. Thanks Amaxs for your friendly and co-operative service. Thoroughly recommended. I was recommended them by my mother who they also recently had them do her bathroom and consequently have also done 2 other jobs at her apartments based on their work.

I am a professional Facilities Consultant with 13 years of experience in this industry and have had the pleasure of supervising Slawomir on many jobs which required several skills.
He did mainly plumbing work for us, but is unbelievably talented and has also performed substantial other work for us such as tiling, electrical work and general handiwork requiring sometimes quite complex problem solving tasks. He is very disciplined in general, but especially useful is his understanding and respect for working in areas with sensitive equipment and/or needs, such as server /IT rooms, laboratories or otherwise requiring specialised codes of behaviour such as the Health & Safety requirements for working at heights when inspecting roofs etc.
The reasons I would recommend Slawomir without hesitation are multiple – he is a professional, extremely conscientious, intelligent, punctual, reliable, honest and can often find a better way of helping you achieve whatever you are trying to work on if you take the time to explain exactly what it is you are trying to do….. and will do so even if it saves you money at his expense – he is more appreciative of the long-term, trusting, quality relationship rather than short-term gain which is sadly such common practice in these times – that is why I am still using him ~ 7 years after first meeting him.
If you choose to try out Slawomir and AMAXS, you will not only not regret it, you will see for yourself why so many Polish artisans have earned themselves such a good reputation.
If you would like to check that this testimony is genuine, feel free to call me [also on 07789 3748989 during standard working hours] or email (I will get back to you asap… if I don’t answer at the time) and I can give examples of specific work I have had done for me by Slawomir.

100% recommend Stevie & his guys, they are my ‘go to’ team for plumbing, electrics and interior remodelling. They’ve done everything from stripping a house back to brick, rewiring, replumbing & replastering to just repairing and making good leaks as well as a bit of detective work resolving plumbing problems over the last 7years. He’s always so busy these days which is a good sign I suppose, so grab him while you can!

Amaxs have replaced two bathrooms for us, undertaking all the work including plumbing, electrics and tiling. We are delighted with the results which were exactly to our specification. Amaxs were competitively priced and very easy to employ as they did all the work. The work was completed quickly and efficiently; they were hard working and tidy. I would recommend Amaxs without reservation -they did an excellent job for a very good price.

Thank you so much for your help and expertise the other day, and for your excellent workmanship repairing and exchanging our old pipes. A water leak in the ceiling is everyone’s worst nightmare, and it was fixed in no time and with minimal impact on the household.
Excellent job – but then we knew we could always rely on you and your team!
